Need some help/input. I am looking to buy a 2004 BXS C15 with 10 speed. We haul local, typically around 80k. It has 11R24.5 tires and was told it runs 1600rpm at 70mph. We run local and when on the highway, we typically run around 55-65 mph for about 10-20 miles. Everywhere I read is the Acerts are best at lower rpms. However seeing the type of driving we do, I am thinking this still not be a bad fit for us. I don't expect great fuel mileage but every little bit helps. If I had my choice I would rather be around 3.5 but beggars cant be choosers

For the amount of highway you do it would work fine.. with the 10 speed the 4.11 will help on the 9/10 shift so it may actually be a better gear for local work.
