2005 DT466 Shuts off While Driving

I'm running a 95 M11 with similar problem. The eng comp got packed with snow, when cleaning out may have damaged something. Stalls at road speed. Turn the ign key off, then it restarts, runs for another mile, shuts off again. Figure it may be computer cannot read engine or coolant temp, so shuts down motor??

 

Anything like that will log a code. Are you getting a check engine light? If not, could be ignition power loss.

 

I have the same problem as him.i had a new tank put on, new cam sensor,new ignition switch all new filters and it still conks out a few times a day.it will start right back up.no codes show

 

Im having the same problem. The truck starts and drives normal then if you floor it the engine shuts off like the key is turned off or something. Then if you turn the key off and on again it fires back up and keeps driving. Ive brought it to two mechanics who told me it was the fuel filter. I got it back and it did the same thing. Ive now replaced the ICP, IPR, fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel filter assembly and fuel pump. still zero change. Engine starts drives then clicks off. Back a while ago it shut off and did not restart we pulled the full filter and it was pretty nasty. The only thing I haven't changed is the fuel injectors and oil pump. Ive ordered a code reader and will order a fuel pressure gauge and see if we can come up with some more info.

Im having similar thing on my 2017 prostar,when its shuts down and u turn it back on after 10 min it throws tranny finger gear code on eld
Also i have water in fuel code

 

Did you ever figure out what his issue was I have one that’s doing the same thing but it’s an 06

 

I have a 98 international 4900. 466E. It is shutting down put not starting back up. Towed to dealer and they said bad connection at ecm. Started home and it just shut off again. I couldn’t see anything they messed with but I’ve wiggled everything on the truck. I’m at a bad place. Anyone can help in north Alabama?
