Greatings all, Im having a weird issue also on my 2014 Volvo Vnl. Just changed a new Alternator and all batteries a month ago. Today I am getting a battery light on and the voltage is dropping down to 12.1 and then back up to between 14.1 and 14.5
Has anyone else experienced this issue before? -
I'm having the same problems on an 04 VNL D12. Dash shows max 13.2 but fluctuates all over the place to as low as 12.2. In the last eight months, I've had 2 sets of batteries and 2 alternators, cleaned grounds, still the same problem. It has never failed to start though. I hooked a separate gauge to the battery and alternator, and I'm getting 13.8 even while dash is showing 12.5. So I'm not gonna worry about it till something quits.

Check your all of your connections, batteries and alternator and continuity on the voltage sensing wire from the battery to the alternator.
