VGT turbo? The "variable" part in the turbo and its linkage it wearing/worn out. My columbia did that for almost 150k miles until finally replaced it, but I also didn't put another vgt back on. Of the vpod finally was acting up on mine which made me replace everything.

I’d check that actuator on turbo like Stroker says I think it controls variable vane Set up

 

It’s a little round thing sets on turbo has linkage and hose going to it
