2006 international 8600 ecm problems

I have 2006 international day cab with a ism cummins and its like it goes into limp mode when you put 30000+ on it they say its the ecm or ecu but why would it do it only with heavy weight and also it shuts down at random times

Either it isn't producing any boost and therefore no power, or there is a fault you need to get checked out.

Man they are probably right. I had the same problem with one a few years back. If I'd just replaced the Edmon like they told me right off I'd have saved lots of headaches.
