2006 isx cummins turbo issues

    I have on oil leak at the turbo actuator rod. Any thought?

    i had exactelly the same problem about. 4 months ago, it means all seals between hot and cold side of turbo going bad, you better replace that turbo before leak gets worst and your engine suck some oil and run away !!! then you will need new engine not a turbo :)

    nooooo, this thing is expensive itself anyway, i bought from cummins dealer, i paid 2875$ plus core about 950$ ,

    There is a repair procedure to just change the seals for that shaft. I requires almost complete disassembly of the turbo, so it is not a job for diy'er. If the turbo does have a lot of miles/hours on it, I would recommend to replace the whole unit. This leak doesn't guarantee the turbo will fail and make the engine run away.
