A little rust on the frame, not too much though.

My Accert always had more blow by than I liked. It always smoked some. I was told it was normal.

If your truck is not as bad as the video. I would think its normal and not worry about it. Go make money.

My old 3406 would stream out the breather alot worse after a long hard pull, especially in hot weather. Miles on engine at that time slightly over 1mil. It just kept on running. I would give up on the winter front and bug screen, but thats my opinion. Usually those covers have a vinyl center (or symbol) that i think disturbs air flow. With thermostats now days not really a necessity. Fyi, years back idling a diesel in cold weather would cool down so low, it almost stopped making heat for the cab.

I pulled off the winter front. See how she does. A couple weeks ago it was 28 degrees out and I had to turn the heat off lol. I just bump the idle close to 1,000 RPM.

Mine is getting worse also. Thinking about switching brand of oil . Using rotella 15-40 now. Blow by not to bad, im talking consumption. My old 3406 consumed less. In case i didn't say earlier its a c-15 6nz so single turbo. Anyone ever switched and lowered consumtion? Has like 350k since rebuild.

I am using Mobile Delvac 15W-40, but haven't tried anything else to see if there is a change.

My 98 star with a c13 used to stop making heat down around 0. Had to order a pizza so I could use the box to cover the radiator so I could sleep. My signature 600 is the opposite need to run with the fan on a lot to keep it cool.
