Like mentioned already. I wouldn’t worry about it. Add a rubber hose to the blow by tube. Long enough where it leaves a couple of inches off the ground. Make sure it’s an hose that is approve for oil. A regular hose will swell up. And just use a hose clamp to keep it place.
Also, talk to a oil distributor, someone that know oils. I would stay away from mega brands. The new and improved oils are more for the newer engines to meet emissions. I have tried conoco/Phillips guardol and my blow by went away. But then my local distributor had a house synthetic blend he recommended for a lot less and I have been stuck on that for the last 2 years. No blow by and $6.50 a gallon in bulk.

Take the winter front off and only use it when sitting in sub zero temps. The mxs, nxs , bxs cat engines will have (smoke) coming out of blowby hose. Nature of the beast. You will also get a few drops of oil as well. Like the other posters said extend hose closer to ground but not to where it will drag and get plugged up. The smoke your seeing is actually an oil mist caused by the vva's. Running a winter front on an acert is risky. You could score a liner or two if your not careful.

Always wanted to know which is better Rotella or Delvac...? Mmm.. Always reading posts that tell one oil is better then other. Never find out until you try yourself. Had been loyal to Rotella oil for almost 2 years 15w40. T4 sometimes T5. Tried 10w30 T5 for winter weather and quickly switched back to T5 15w40 due to low oil pressure and oil consumption. Recently I tried Delvac on a Accert C15 BXS 04. So now the interesting part what I discovered between Rotella and Delvac both 15w40. Rotella like many others have mentioned has a very noticeable smell then Delvac. Also the oil consumption has a different time when I have to add oil between oil changes. Rotella needs a gallon of oil at 7-8k miles when Delvac needs gallon of oil at 8-9k miles. Didn't notice any other difference between the two. Personally I don't see any major difference between the two. Maybe others have noticed a significant improvement in economy or lower oil consumption I don't know. What you all think about Delo 15w40? So far I think I should stay with Delvac because of it's good reputation and has no smell like Rotella does.
