401-Alex Something wrong , Volvo engine usually never have poor mileage like this Little question: what is exhausted temperature when you drive on flat road
3-450 max its at the bottom of the range egr is "broken" and no boost leaks new CAC restrictor removed between turbo and manifold restrictor removed in front pipe and straight exhaust it is not that loud has no smoke no running issues and very low economy have thought of replacing injectors and cups but get worried due to your exact problem. prior owner replaced harness & turbo exhaust never gets up to a 700-800 unless im heavy pulling a very long hill and still its not that hot coolant temp in summer is about 170 on the dash winter is at the bottom of gauge but will make heat so hot in the truck you 'll have to open the windows
Have the dealer swap injector #3 and #6. If the fault code moves to #6 then it's the injector IF IT DOESN'T and stays injector #3 it's the injector WIRING HARNESS....
OTR kit was installed by last owner when egr valves came apart and turbo ate them. has a mid code that will not delete i believe it was a position code for the egrs when they broke and kit was installed without resetting position letting the computer always keep it hard set
Alex Egr game is always against you computer will see broken egr. and you can do nothing to fool him you have some sensor on egr cooler and computer will change engine program accordingly egr right now super cheap 250 a pair
where are you finding 250 a pair? id swap the broke For that price. the cooler has a resister wired to read correct temp range
Thanks Flood for help you are sad correct about swap injectors, but same time when i change injector on new i have magically fixed harness for next 100k miles How any body can explain for me this situation I don’t want make more problems Playing with Injectors
Alex You can’t fool computer Temperature on this resistor constantly changes depending on position of egr On eBay you have egr right now for 130 each They last usually 1-1.5 years It’s no problem for this price
it took almost 18 months to figure it out on my d12d after changing #3 a few times and it working for 3-8 months each time.. the dealer suggested the swap (3 & 6 are the same part) 4 months later #3 coded again... change the harness... 300k later no problums
