Thanks Flood for help Thanks one more time for saying some great advise and story i will just change harness its cheaper do this way When you swap injector 3 on 6 last time. injector 3 was failed injector or new one i just ordered new one
No new injectors... they just pulled #3 & #6 and switch them with each other... The dealer said they could do that because volvo has 3 different injectors part numbers 1&4, 2&5, 3&6 are the same...
If i am correct All injectors parts numbers same they install them in 2 banks 1-2-3 and 4-5-6 I never hear or read proof what you dealer say
Alex Do you have thermostat on yours truck << winter is at the bottom of gauge but will make heat so hot in the truck you 'll have to open the windows>> computer read all data on engine and do best for good mileage
As far as i can tell it has a thermostat. I've never changed it but have replaced radiator all coolant hoses and filter never overheats gets to maybe 190-210 and fan pulls it back down to around 170. Truck runs steady at 170 in summer before and after radiator replacement. Dash gauge says 170 ish cluster info is 181
I have the same problem with injector # 5; same truck same codes; changed twice and keeps coming back. i am going to change the fuel pump and will let you know. Did you solve your problem? If yes, please let me know what it was.
don't change the injector... move it.... the reason I say that is because I had that problem with injector #6, it would quit but if I stopped and restarted the truck it would work for a few hours/days and do it again.... I had them swap injector #6 with #3. 4 days later it did it again for injector #6 (old #3)... ended up being the injector wiring harness... Truck now has 1.4k and still has the original injectors
