I have a 2007 Columbia with a 4 wire plug on the blower motor.
Does anyone know the test procedure for this and what each pin should read on a meter?

Orange- battery voltage. Black- ground Two control wires, blue with same color strip? One goes from the fan switch to the circuit board on blower motor. It should read about 0-6 V depending on switch setting. The other sends a signal back the the switch module and should read about 1/2 of the first one. If the module does not like the signal it receives in return it can discontinue power to ask the motor to run. Just my experience and off the top of my head. They are kind of sporty but easy to swap if you have another truck.
Last time I asked the dealer if they had one was told they had 17 on the shelf. That could be a sign.Hulld and spyder7723 Thank this. -
Thank you for the info.
I am thinking by what you are saying I would have to tap in to the wires while still plunged in to the blower motor to test.
Is this correct? -
While plugged up yes. If you can't get to the plug installed get the motor out on the floor. Might want be easier with two people. If you turn it on and walk around to check the switch module may have discontinued power before you get there to test it.
Hulld Thanks this. -
Gotcha
Thanks -
May have to have the key off for a while to reset before testing.
Hulld Thanks this. -
Get a new one 125 bucks t6 hex screw 10 years oid freightliners were not built to last just changed mine I guess mine was kind of newer no resistor it was built in it blower just went out out of blue but those two fuses at bottom of dash that look like spares are not they control blower so look at them first
Hulld Thanks this. -
I had all read checked. those fuses they were ok.
I had already priced a new one at my dealer and they said 152.00 -
Try shaking that harness end around some first. I have seen those bad before and cause intermittent on/off.

Well everything tested out ok so I picked up a new blower motor and pluged it in and it now works as should.
Thanks everyone for your responses and especially boxcarkidd for the great test information.
