Be cheaper to buy an old truck
The cheapest solution is to put an e log in what you got. It's apparent already those words are falling on deaf earsAModelCat Thanks this. -
You will spend more on the swap then just buying a 1999 volvo with a S60 Detriot. But it can be done. Not sure about it being legal.
AModelCat Thanks this. -
It isn't legal.
You can only legally upgrade in emissions never downgrade.AModelCat Thanks this. -
hmmm...
if thats the case, how are "gliders" doing it then? (with FL Coronado's) --- not arguing, just curious -
Because gliders aren't trucks.
A glider is a replacement cab and chassis.
The driveline comes out off a existing truck.
I'm shure others can explain it better.wore out Thanks this. -
I don't know how to explain it either I do understand what @nax is saying. I think putting a 99 engine in a truck that was factory equipped with later emissions will cause some heart ache in the right time and the right place.
I also think that gliders are exempt from that as they never came emissions rated.
Most D.O.T have nothing to do with emissions concerns so like I said it's gonna take the perfect circumstance
