2008 cat w/ low boost

You know what.... I'm still playing the back and forth on what boost I should have. I went on just answer and asked and was told by catman that I'm right where I should be for a 550 cat.

When I was breaking my engine in after my rebuild, I put a 550 file in and was boosting 38psi with it touching 40 the odd time. I even posted a thread about this not long ago and @Cat sdp was weighing In on it, saying he gets more boost.

I since added a tune which gave me 650hp and am boosting up to about 48psi most of the time.

I'm still wondering if my turbos are off, I've had them inspected many times but being ball bearing.... I know there's not really any way to check them properly.

 

It will say 475. If your truck is a factory 475, they just edit that file usually.

Like I said, I rebuilt my engine and EVERYTHING was new. Every wire, sensor, vva.... everything minus the turbos. When they put the factory 550 file in during my break in, my boost was the exact same as you but when he custom tuned it...... I got more.
