Hey new here and I’m pulling my hair out.

I got a new Kruz 24’ dump trailer connected to the truck. The Pto comes on and sometimes it goes up and sometimes it don’t. I have no ideal what to do.

when it’s not loaded it goes up often.

the truck is drinking a gallon of oil a day so it’s about done and I don’t want to spend the money on putting a new pto if it is that. Just don’t know what to do.

    any suggestions appreciated.

PTO is air actuated. Air leak? I'm not a mechanic.

Sounds to me like its an engagement issue in the PTO. A worn pump or bypassing components doesn't just magically seal up and work for a bit, then stop. If it can dump when loaded the hydraulics are likely fine.

That's my old 2008 T800,set up with dual dump controls. You could have any number of issues.Maybe a pressure relief valve opening and not allowing the trailer enough pressure to dump when loaded. The hydraulic oil gets hot fast with the pump setup I had.Couldn't run the pto very long, had to dump quickly then shut the pto off.
