Don't want to replace headlight assembly, how difficult are they to take apart and put back together. I had it out, and it looked like the only thing holding it together was 3 clips, an some type of weather proof caulking on the rubber seal

Just clips and butyl, set your oven to 300F in your house and put the assembly in for 5 minutes. The lens will come off easily, just pry a little with a flathead to get started.

Make sure to take off any rubber and crap that would melt.

The projector shield can be filed down with a flat file without taking it apart. Right through where the bulb goes in. I posted on this forum a good writeup on this about a week ago. May be of use to you
