If so why is there a Front Timing Acuator and a Rear Timing Acuator for the injectors? Reread my statment, then go and get a wiring diagram to disprove what I am saying.
2010 and newer only have one camshaft. That one camshaft only runs the intake and exhaust valves. Those injectors are completly electronic.

So according to you everything I have said is BS. Does the plunger in the injector not boost the pressure within the injector?
You should take some of your own advice from you last statement because right now you are being hypocritical. -
Please tone it down here, the questions can be asked and answered without insulting anyone's intelligence.
ISX for SCR has one camshaft since 2010.
The older engines are similar to, but not the same as, the newer engines. -
Ok, for the record, it depends on what generation, or series of ISX you are talking about. The ISX model that we are talking about in this thread is specifically a CM871 series, (EGR engine, with a DPF). That one has 100% mechanical injectors. The latest ISX models, specifically 2010+ tear emission engines, CM2250 and CM2350 do in fact have electronic injectors. These are a different generation of ISX that use high pressure common-rail fuel system. No injector camshaft. Fuel pressure is generated by a high pressure fuel pump and supplied direct to the injectors through high pressure fuel lines. The injectors all have solenoids that are electronically controlled by the ECM to inject fuel at that magic moment. The pressure is high enough and no mechanical injection is needed.
Here are some good videos to help explain how the fuel systems work for CM871 or earlier.

Here is a Cummins Common Rail system, not ISX, but same theory.

Is your truck a former USA truck truck?? If so, can you could probably get the unit number and call USA truck or the former owner and get the mx records associated with this unit. This could probably assist you in the history of it. Just a thought.

Thank you KH. Tried that right from the start. USA Truck told me that they would not give the records as they did not sell the truck to us. we got it from a small dealer that got it from USA truck.
Heavyd, thank you for the explanation to the arguing gentlemen. That is exactly the information that I have discovered from this mess. As stated by my brother from the very first thread this truck is a 2009 and holds to the 2007 emissions standards. I would never recommend this motor to anyone and as soon as I can get out of it, I intend to do so!Heavyd Thanks this. -
