2009 prostar a/c problem

Rush is the worst!

I had a 2012 ProStar....same problem.
Replaced Thermistors,expansion valves,compressor,dryer and all...(Thermisters now come in a kit with expansion valves)
Finally a shop figured out it had too much oil in the system.

They flushed all the lines with alcohol,recharged it with the correct amount of oil and problem solved.

If the shop has Insite,go in the HVAC readings and check the core temp....when working correctly it will be around 30 degrees

 

It was the small International dealer in Hickory NC......
Rush just took them over but hopefully they have the same mechanics.

 

They had me in and out in about 4 hours...they pulled the lines under the bunk and back flushed everything.
It worked better than when the truck was new.

 

Have them look at the thermistors too.
The new ones are heat shrinked on.
They tell the expansion valves to open and close.

 

I had a hard to find issue with my prostar 2013,it turned out to be a bad high pressure port(it was making the hvac front blower to work on and off)

 

Let me give you a number. Jeff is his name, his shops in Dallas. We picked ours up today and have 44 at the vent. 404 569 8857. Tell Jeff, Kermit said to call.
We visited rush twice and came away pissed.

 

They took our money and were not happy with rush in Hickory or Gainesville ga.
