has any replaced the coolant filter housing? mine is leaking at the shut off valve and tring to figure out the best way to fix it

It's only an o-ring on the shut-off valve. I tried replacing it once. You have to remove the waterpump and get it from the inside, but mine was seized so bad, I thought I'd break the valve off. I ended up just replacing the housing with a good used unit. It wasn't worth the time and effort.

well I took it to Volvo he replaced it on the truck for 280

For 280 it may be they just pulled or unscrewed the valve. The other way im guessing would be way more expensive.
Im asking cuz my shutoff is leaking a bit but i dont want to pull the housing if thats the method...thanks
