So I gave up when I took it to the steelership.

So they manage to replace the flex pipe and just rotated everything into position. They also found a few broken clamps back by the dual exhaust. They were very thorough.

I remember this post by boneebone , watching these photos i believe he is right. I drove trucks with D13 over past 12 years, everytime regen runs i feel an odor of melting rubber , could be wires around DPF or ...the cab bushings gets fried, it's very close to this hot pipe, diesel burns inside during regen . I had many troubles with cab rattling leaning , sensation of rough suspension and wasted money on different suspension components; poor Volvo engineering not enough shielding in this zone. Rubber starts melting at 170 degrees C, i'll check the temperature around bushing during regen.

"......the rubber in the bushings are especially prone to deteriorating from the heat of the engine and the regen process.
The worn out cab bushings could be giving the feeling of the truck and suspension swaying more, especially in the turns.
    ......"
