2009 volvo isx 450

Its on there and probably painted red!

 

egr valve or cooler? EGR valve should mount to the front of the exhaust manifold egr cooler is a long skinny tube that is bolted under the exhaust manifold to the passenger side of the motor. As stated above both should be painted red, unless they have been replaced. picture below shows the EGR valve and cooler, normally there is an exhaust shield that bolts to the EGR valve

 

if it has DPF it will be on driver side of engine.same looking EGR valve as in picture.

 

that was my bad i forgot they changed the location in 07

 

i posted a picture earlier of the older isx on the 2007 on up it is circled on this picture, should be the driver side of the motor to the rear of the engine block
