I have a 2010 International with a Maxxforce Dt. We had the ECM sent out for repair. They said it had internal water damage and sent us a new one. Installed it and no start. Getting fuel, and oil pressure. Hooked up a scan tool and it is saying that it is a Maxxforce 5 ecm. Is it possible that this is why it won’t start?

Any ideas @Heavyd
-
Yes, you have been sent the wrong ECM. Maxxforce 5 is actually the smallest V-6, pre-DPF egr only engine 2007 emissions model that was discontinued years ago. Even though the ECMs look the same, they are internally different, different part numbers and not interchangeable. You will need one programmed for 2010 model emissions DT engine series.

@Heavyd I got the ECM programmed at international. Got it installed and still no start. I pulled codes:
SPN 164 FMI3
SPN 8152 FMI 6
SPN 1079 FMI 0
SPN 8151 FMI 5
SPN 8151 FMI 6
Could you tell me what these codes mean and where to go from here? -
164 - 3 is ICP out of range high,
1079 - 0 is not an engine code. This comes from the body controller and will not cause a no start.
8151-5 Bank A, or injectors 1 - 3 shows shorted coil
8151-6 Bank A or injectors 1 - 3 shoes open coil
8152 - 6 Bank B or injectors 4 - 6 shows open coil.
Ok, those codes are only from 2007 model emissions engines. So with a 2010 model year truck, you need to find out if the engine is actually a late 2007 emissions model or early 2010 model. If you give me the last 8 of your vin I can see what it was built with. Right now you have too many codes to go on. -
@Heavyd last 8 is AH261715
-
Ok, you do have a 2007 emissions model engine. What codes are active?
-
Spn: 7318 fmi4
8151 fmi 5
8151 fmi 6
8152 fmi 5
8152 fmi 6
1079 fmi 0
520461 fmi 9 -

Sorry, I missed your post somehow.
The last two codes are not engine. The others are basically all 6 injectors shorted or open and the ECM cannot pinpoint. Very odd to have that. If the original ECM had water damaged, you might have corrosion or other damage in that harness too. You need to do pin point testing on that harness to see if the wiring is actually bad or not.
