Amen to that!!! I won't even buy a $10 USB memory stick without reading reviews on it first!

Found bottom manifold exhaust stud broke on hp turbo. Could thay be cause of turbo leak and regens?
Still trying to unload this truck, still upside-down!
Thinking about replacing manifold (400.00) -
Can't believe people are still buying the Maxxforce 13 or N13 {same engine }, Here is the best fix I have found to date for all the issues they have,,,Lays potato chips don't leave a residue and they burn like gasoline.

Methyl hydrate in the alternator apparently works as well.

Replaced exhaust manifold, 2 turbos, a 3rd turbo to get housing (only way to get one) boots on cac tubes... regens got less, after 2 weeks regens getting more frequent again (170-200 miles)
Im getting a raw diesel smell in cab when it is attempting a passive regen, and a slight whistle that fades away, it whistle under load whether bobtail or pulling trailer. Regen process is getting longer since work has been done. I know, get rid of it, thats not an option at this time, looking for direction as to what to look for. -
Lonestar international that had an international motor in it that I drove at Smith Transport didn't use DEF(exhaust fluid) . Because it had a big canister under the truck

You need the proper tools and equipment to work on these engines. If you want to avoid the dealer and you have no access to ServiceMaxx then there really isn't much I can for you.

Im going to dealer, just need to guide them in right direction with time line of events
