Thx gears.
Well guys day one down. Very very very long and boring day. To me the way it was set up could have been much better. A lot of paperwork and even more waiting. We had the physical capabilities test today which involved lifting a 78 lb crate up and down 3 shelves then walking with it 3 times getting your heart rate checked between each set. Then a pull test. You have to be able to pull with 200 lbs of force and push with 100 lbs of force. Then step on the 2nd step of a ladder then back down simulating climbing in and out of a truck. Then the infamous duck walk. Not really that bad 5 steps. Just keep ur head down. After that was the normal physical, drug screen and hey to the doctor. After some video it was time to wait 3 hrs for 8 ppl to finish road test that's all that got done today. They had 2 ppl doing road test asked for volunteers to make $5 per student. Very short test but no one wanted to do it. So luckily I was number 5. Passed everything so far. In the hotel waiting for my food. Then Monday night football, shower and bed. I will give another update tomorrow. Oh we started with 30 ppl down to 22. Wish me luck. BTW very nice trucks ppl were rude but straight foward I like that no time for BS.wulfman75 Thanks this. -

Well my update for today is simple. It was a productive and unproductive day. We went over some basic operations, payroll, per diem, maintenance, and hazmat oh and cargo security. No one got road tested today. NO ONE. There are still about 12-16 ppl that need to go. I'm done so whatever. Tomorrow hopefully will be the last day. At the end of the day we will find out if we are hired or if we have issues that need to be fixed before we can be placed in the HIRED category. Wish me luck on that cause my luck is really crappy. A lot more presentations tomorrow but they gotta do it. We got our log books today. Whoaaaa. I came to us xpress to get on a dedicated account. Today I got told I MIGHT, MIGHT be able to get a trainer that is on a dedicated account which will put me one step closer to that dedicated account when I'm done training. Well off to eat then gym, shower and bed. Wish me luck guys and gals and I will keep u informed.
