Got a 2010 fleet Prostar from a auction, from a big fleet.
In the listing it said it had a engine brake. But I cannot find anything in the cab marked with that, or that 1,2,3, position switch.
Its a 2010 Prostar Premium TA day cab with a ISM 410hp. Ex Soda truck
If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.
Also is adding on a engine brake something very easily done if it doesnt have one.

There should at least be an on/off switch on the steering wheel for it.
Do you have the last 8 of the VIN? I will check for you if it was built with one or not. -
Thank you so much Heavyd! Really appreciate that

It was originally built for Coke, regional haul day cab. I see no option list for engine brakes, and when I break down the engine parts, it also shows no engine brakes. Sorry.
little cat 500 Thanks this. -
Thats to bad, it was listed on the auction site description and no way to view the trucks in advance. I guess thats how it goes.
I wish I could of looked up all that info in the vin somehow.
Really appreciate that info you found. Thanks Heavyd, you have a good Christmas. -
Why would they put the 1,2,3 switch in? I have a 2013 prostar and as stated the switch is on the right side of the steering wheel. They put blanks in all of the other unused switch locations. I wonder why put the 3 stage switch in if it dont have an engine brake?

I must of not wrote that correctly, it does not not have the 123 switch.
Also just found out that they are governed to only 55mph and 1800 Rpm...... another nice surprise.
Wish there was a easy way to get into the ECU and change that -
the speed governor can be turn off by the a dealer.. the rpm governor can be turned up also... they just need to plug in to it...Deezl Smoke Thanks this.

My 2013 was a fleet leaser. The rpm is 2300, but it is limited to 70mph. Not going to change it as that's fast enough for me.
But as flood mentions, the rpm limit and speed limit can be changed with a laptop hook up. Likely 150 to 200 bucks ish at any local shop that is authorized with software. I do not have to go to the dealer, I use my local independent.
