2010 prostar maxxforce 13 no power/speed

    Aftermarked DPF should not matter, they just won't cover it. I suspect your DOC is bad and it isn't doing full regens on its own on the highway and it keeps plugging the DPF. Is the dealer following the Aftertreatment symptom based troubleshooting?

    The DPF is just the filter that collects the soot from the engine. The DOC is another section of the exhaust attached to the inlet of the DPF. The DOC is basically a catalytic converter that is responsible for generating exhaust temps over 1000 degrees during a regen to bake away that collected soot.

    So did you figure out tge problem? Mine is having the same and mechanics can't figure it out

    I had the same problem. Charge air cooler temp sensor was bad. Easy fix

    Mine was the pump and that fixed it.
