2011 internstional maxxforce 13 fuel pump issue

    Do i startetd working for this company and one of the trucks down is a 2011 International with a maxxforce 13 engine they said the fuel pump is bad another mechanic started replacing it didn't work nothing fuel lines were wrong. I'm pretty sure I hooked up everything correctly still won't start. when I prime it and turn the key the primer pump won't hold pressure and loses its compression. I'm thinking the fuel pump needs to be timed but can't find info on it to rule that out or might be a sensor does anybody know if a needs to be timed or hand any helpfull info?

    Fuel pump doesn't have to be timed. Make sure you prime the fuel system. You need to hook up Laptop and see if there isn't any code that prevent it form starting.
