My mechanic works best with a cummins which I dont have. He needs to see a schematic cause he cant pin point the problem. I have gotten a switch dash 31 code one time and also an hvac dont remember the number. They dont come out anymore only just rollover alarm. Ive noticed my jakes dont work.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Im planning on getting a pre emissions truck and putting this one over the road. Just would want to fix this annoying issue though.

Yes I sometimes think id be better off trading it in for a cheaper columbia series 60. Or pro star cummins and delete def

Yes i notices my jakes dont work. And the radio is stuck in aux no other buttons will do anything on it. The dealer told me I had a short for a tail light but not sure if that might be affecting the on other areas. Its my theory because an hvac code and engine died then a switch dash and engine died. Rollover has always been a consistent thing but it turns off and on when driving. Rollover alar. happened once when idling. Thinking that short travels around the truck I dont know..

My jakes do not work. The light doesnt come on and noticed coming down a grade and the jake didnt come on to slow down the truck. Also noticed my clutch is suspect, makes a noise when cruising idle speed no foot on pedal. It tends to feel a bit rough in and out of gears sometimes I really have to get it at the right rpms and be easy with it, not unlike a cascadia cummins I tried once it had 520kmiles but the clutch and gears felt way better and smoother..

Lack of Jakes is likely a sensor. I had the same issue and my mechanic quickly found a bad sensor, replaced it, and Jakes worked fine.

    Electric gremlins are a #####.

Replacing my clutch switch fixed my jakes, and cruse, also it would not regen because it showed the clutch to be engaged, will not regen with clutch engaged weather it is or not , the clutch switch was sending the wrong message , or lack there of. there are several different systems that depend on the correct signal from the clutch switch the DD15 program pointed that out as soon the tried to do a regen

Good luck, but when drivers say simpler is better, this is what their talking about. Electronics problems are always expensive and hard to sort out.

    Sell it.

The way these trucks are now . It will either run great. Or be a problem child
