Should I have dpf cleaned also?

 

Cleaning once a year is a good idea. If you remove the DPF to clean it, you might as well remove and clean the DOC too, it's right there.

 

Dealer said every 250000 miles, some say once a year? Yes both will get cleaned

 

Since you are experiencing issues, I would clean both. Now, if you want to go a step further, there is "PreDOC" section right after the turbo that should be cleaned too, but not as critical. Sometimes it gets melted internally if too much raw fuel is injected from the doser.
