I had tire chains break and cut the ABS wire. I was able to just splice it with wire crimpers and tape. It would work for a year and I had to do it again. After four years I traded off the truck, never did replace that wire, just kept patching it.
So yours is probably cut from the tire. Try patching it first, if that works then you'll know and can replace the wire at your convenience. Assuming there is enough wire left to fix.

Just for future reference.
You can type in fault codes in your web browser and get a results page with several responses for that code.
No need to put www.ca8 33
Just ca88 33 hit enter or search.
You can do this for any fault code and get the answer.
