People give DPF's a bad rap. These are the trucks that caused it. The technology was rushed to the market which made them about as reliable as a '70's Fiat. The technology of 2010+ engines are so far superior it isn't even funny. A majority of the parts used on those are still used today (albeit with minor changes here and there) on new trucks.
