Looking at buying a 2012 Mack Refuse truck with a MP7 engine the cab sticker has a manufacture date of 9/12. The Odom is at 69 k and 10400 Hrs. I’ve heard that since Volvo bought Mack that it has went down hill, is the MP7 engine a turd ? Should I expect a lot of downtime ? I have 0 experience with Mack and Volvo so just looking to get some feed back so I don’t buy a turd. Thanks
Don't know much about em maybe go to Big Mack Truck forum they have a wealth of knowledge BigMackTrucks.com If it was me I'd stick with the E-7 platform. Even 04-07 AC/AI are reliable compared to the 08 and up EPA crap. You can easily delete those egr E-7 can't talk about that here but over on bmt it's allowed to talk about deletes
