I'll probably run this Mack until my 2001 Peterbilt is roadworthy, fixing the tranny on it right now. I don't want to get rid of the Pete bc I have a 6nz CAT in it, and I love it lol

    ReeferOhio Thanks this.

I have a driver in my 05 Columbia with a C-15 18spd. That was my first truck. It's been a great truck, I'll run them both as long as I can. I hope to build my next truck new not used.

Getting code Son 1127 fmi 18. Had the sensor replaced and 700 miles later came right back on. Getting 5.5 mpg, lost of power and engine takes a while to start. I have a 2012 mack cxu613

As stated before, injector cups are the biggest problems on those trucks. I've got one and runs perfect.

Nice truck. I am looking at buying a 2011 Pinnacle. But I'm still learning about them, doing a lot of research. But It would be nice to hear from someone that actually drives one for a living. How do you like the truck overall? Have you had any major issues? Has the DPF been a big problem? I will be doing short hauls, couple of hours each way pulling logs, so It will be doing some off road work, nothing crazy like in Alaska or Canada but offroad none the less. Do you think some offroad work pulling logs will be a problem for this truck? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Overall it's been a great truck so far. It runs everyday only less than 250 miles out then 250 miles back. The only after treatment issue I've had so far was the doser (7th injector) went bad, that was when I first bought the truck. The truck seems as rigid as all the others, I think how you drive off road and treat the equipment has a lot to do with how it will hold up and perform in the long term. I'm actually looking at a brand new one that is identical to my current one that is a left over from a fleet purchase here locally. I like it enough to consider buying another one.

I have some seat time in a few day cab pinnacles in the oilfield. Pulling frac pumps @100k gross weight. They seem to hold up pretty good offroad other than my only complaint is the front end feels a bit too light for my liking. They are the 445c mp8 and they pull pretty darn good for 100k with a regular 10 speed. Idk the rear end specs but 70mph is 1400rpm with tall rubber

I have read that anything over 600,000 miles is probably getting close to needing an overhaul. In your experience,is that true? Should I pass on any truck with that mileage. Or, if it passes all of the inspections I will put it through, then it's worth a shot? I have money set aside for an overhaul, however, I don't want to have to do it a few months after buying the thing. Although I know you can never be 100% sure of anything. I simply want to increase my chances of going a year or so without any overhaul expenses.
