They have a Hydro-Vac brake Booster, the international dealer seems to think this was the issue. So might be the next thing i replace. However is there a way to test it?
First thing is the check what the engine is logging for codes. I don't think it logs codes for being worked too hard. There are codes for the brake pedal being held down too long. If the truck sat for a long time before you bought it, it is possible you just have seized calipers. You already replaced the fronts, if your rears are smoking, I would replace those too.
I have a 2016 doing the same thing. What was your repair to fix it? I was thinking about putting a hydro boost on it. Already did the calipers and break lines. Sounds like we had the same trouble
I’ve seen a few of these rust up badly between the master cylinder and hydro boost, causing the brakes to stick slightly.
