Son I replaced the ambient sensor, passenger side behind the bumper held by a torn screw and a nut behind the cross member, I checked the voltage on the pig tail and read 4.8v. I'm still getting a fault code for Ambient sensor and the A/C is not working. I recently that as well. Anyone have any more ideas.

Try to detach the cable wire from batteries it might do a trick to restart your Ecm?

Did you check the voltage using the plug ground or did you use another ground somewhere else?

Some trucks may have the ambient air temperature sensor harness routed such that it can be chaffed on a radiator baffle. If the harness is rubbed through, the ac may not function.
