It can. The last one I had with severe aeration also ran rough at higher RPMs with knock codes. Not every engine behaves the same every time. They are all wild beasts sometimes. LOL

2 things to consider when buying one of those, you won’t keep it for long, maybe a year, and two, don’t buy it unless it is “diamond renewed.” Diamond renewed Maxxforce motors, supposedly, have been fixed.
-
Haha I know.. this maxxforce is driving me Insane. The dealer checked it this morning and ran a test on the fuel pump and he's saying that it needs high pressure fuel pump and then they will check the injector if that doesn't solve the problem. I told them that this it better be fixed or else i want my money back.Paulzov Thanks this.

Lol.. I'm keeping everything crossed
-
I will never buy it again and no matter what? But I don't really have experience with any other truck or engine.
-
Heavyd.. what engine or truck do you like better or would recommend.
-
I still like the Prostar. I think they are easy to work on, easy to diagnose electrical problems. I like a Cummins engine.
Sam718 Thanks this. -
