@Heavyd: Can you run this VIN for me please? 2013 International ProStar VIN: 3HSDJAPR7DN359178 DTU Odometer 1481 Odometer: 350,000
I was just told my truck was no longer safe to drive and my financer told me this was my only option. Any help from you would be more than greatly appreciated.
Truck was built in 2012, but not in service until 2014. Has Cummins engine with extended warranty until 500,000 or October of 2019, Engine serial number it was built with is 79623670. No recalls. Warranty history is been minor with only a couple of repairs to blower motor and heater actuator. That is all I can really tell you. I do not have access to any maintenance or engine repair records, you would have to contact the former owner or shops that worked on it.
@Heavyd I'm new to this forum. Will you help me with this vin. Trying to figure the history on the truck 3HSDLSMR9DN043785. Please
Warranty expired almost two years ago, no recalls or campaigns. Maxxforce 15. Had lots of repairs under warranty. This was done between 2013 and 2016. Typical for a Maxxforce. Complete engine harness timing gear repair all injectors head gasket hi pressure turbo egr cooler egr valve DPF
Thank you @Heavyd. I'm glad I found this forum, with people like you that are willing to help. I really appreciate the time you took out of your day to help me
@Heavyd again I appreciate your time. The last truck was sold before I had a chance to buy. Will you run another vin for me please? I hate to keep bothering you with this. Is there a way I can do it? DN313186
Being that wouldn’t be driving it a lot and turning lots of miles, the International wouldn’t be a bad buy. If it hasn’t been “Diamond Renewed” I still think it’s risky though. Diamond Renewed indicates the necessary steps have been taken to bring the Maxxforce closer to being reliable. Just don’t idle it. Maxxforce uses a very high EGR flow rate and excessive idle time will take a toll on it.
