I own a 2013 Western Star 4900sb and we are having unbelievable issues with water in the air lines/tanks. We've thawed it out 5 different times in the last 3 weeks, we've installed a new air dryer even though it looked like the old one was working, we've toyed with the idea of putting an evaporator on the #### thing but we're being told if the air dryer is working that isn't necessary. Today we talked about the air compressor but our local shop says if the water that's coming out of the tanks doesn't have antifreeze in it then its not the compressor.....I'm at the end of my rope.....anyone have any ideas or the same problem??? There is no way that the amount of water coming out of these tanks is condensation....it sometimes takes 2 to 3 minutes to blow the water out of the tanks and one of them is frozen right up tonight. HELP!!!

Have you been losing coolant? I would think its more of a purge issue. Does it purge when it hits 125psi? Is the heater working? How fast does it lose air pressure when at idle with all brakes supplied with air?

What kind of engine? Have been having an issue with the DD15 engines creating excessive moisture due high compressor on time. Check for any air leaks. Chock tires, push in yellow knob and check for leaks in brake chambers. There is actually a bulletin for moisture in the air tanks on EPA10 cascadia trucks, where they add more plumbing between the air compressor and dryer to disperse the heat of the compressor better. Being a western star, you probably have either a meritor 1200 or AD9 dryer, which is what the cascadias are having issues with. You may want to run by the dealer and see if they can add that plumbing in
