    1. I was hoping to replace the factory radio with a model that has a flip out screen or larger screen to use to control music from my iPod, so I'm not fiddling around with a tiny screen while driving. Maybe one that also includes Bluetooth for calls and supports SiriusXM. Can I put just any radio into the truck if I purchase a wiring harness, or are there limitations?

I had a banging JVC with the harness professionally installed and had all kinds of problems with misc. errors that kept putting me out of service. I finally gave up and returned it and bought the horrible FL model that had the Sirius upgrade built in so I don't have to use the dash mount one with all the wires and stuff. Works great but is ugly and cost something like $650 if I remember correctly. Turns out the FL computer module runs thru the radio and messing with that was the problem.

    2. Has anyone ever heard of a way to install come kind of control in the bunk area that would start the truck? Always wondered if that was possible. Would be convenient when in bed and the ParkSmart cuts out due to low power to be able to just start the truck without having to wake up all the way to recharge the batteries.

IDK. Never had the truck shut off or shut down while idling.

    3. Does anyone know if the factory refrigerator offered by Freightliner that fits into the big cabinet in the bunk is any good, or should I go for one of the Dometic portable fridges instead?

I love the factory fridge. Has never given me a problem in over 3 years and I bought the truck new in April '15.

    4. My particular truck didn't come with the fog lights installed in the front bumper. Can I buy those and have them installed separately, or does it have to be done at the factory?

I assume so. Mine came with the fog lights. Mine is a Lone Mountain lease.

    5. My truck came with what appears to be a 1000 watt inverter with a brand name on it of "Pure Sine 1000". Does anyone know anything about it, and can it be upgraded to a higher wattage (Replaced with a new model without setting the truck on fire)?

I bought a 3000 watt inverter and had it mounted behind my driver seat. Has always worked great with no problems.

    6. This question isn't really electronic, but does anyone know if you can have all of the bunk cabinets replaced or reconfigured in other ways? I know there are several options for bunk cabinet layouts and such, was wondering if anyone had ever done this.

    IDk

Thanks in advance for any help. Always love this forum, so easy to get straight answers here.[/QUOTE]
