I mAde $1400 last week at 2800 miles but also had lots of stop pay as well which makes up for less miles.

no offense to the o/o just don't want to see a rookie make a mistake I'm not willing to take the risk with my yr & exp maybe when the kids move out and the wife can come but ill have 13 yrs exp by then.

good to hear some of you o/o are making it work I could do it I'm sure I'm A super trucker but that's the way I roll 650miles a days I just love but gotta be with the family 1st I've been gone nearly 2yrs and need more time with the family love trucking just hard to be away for so long as we do.

hahahaha big bad trucker huh. Typical swift driver. Yes your u got lucky bc ur family has been in trucking for decades huh? Then why in the hell are you working for swift? And for .90 a mile? Morons I tell ya. Ur family should be ashamed all that experience and you lease a truck at swift. Smh.. real o/o get 80-90% of load pay not mileage pay. Pull ur head outta ur a $$ and leave swift asap!!

Moonerman are you just pissed at swift or something to be trolling the swift subforum? Food for thought for ya too. If it's possible to make decent money with swift with the ".90 cents per mile " what happens once that driver moves up "real o/o". I bet he won't be up of these drivers saying he won't touch a load for under 4 dollars a mile while sitting In Texas for days or deadheading for that 4 dollar freight

It takes someone to pay attention to detail to make money here. Not just someone saying they are a "truck driver"

LOL ... dropped at a broker in Laredo on Monday a little over a year ago. Had preplan t-call by 1200 that would be ready to roll anytime after 1700. Decided to spend the night at the J and roll Tuesday AM.

Sitting in the Denny's was a husband/wife team independent O/O. He's working the phone, she's got the PC out and working the boards. They had been sitting since Thursday and the best offer they had was to deadhead up to San Antonio to get a 1000 mile load for $.10 a mile less than what Swift was paying me to go to Phoenix.
