You just mentioned my worst habit that I need to break. Being a company driver for years and never having to worry about fuel, I will say I like hauling ***. Well at least 5 over I mean. But good to know i can still get possibly 7mpg at speed limit 70. Awsome news .

That wasn't why I asked what he wanted, "Volvo doesn't offer enough for me to want to order one from them"

But on the WB I would think the shorter WB the better to get into the warehouses in the Bronx! I don't know about the gear ratio, what you are hearing about the taller gears would probably be best, From what I know the taller gears pull the weight better, Plus a flat bed would not have as much as wind pull as often as a Reefer or a Dry Van. The closer they are the better Areo between the cab and trailer. I'm not one that has ever purchased a Truck.

Since you are going to be running your own fuel may I suggest? that you get you a ScanGauge(scanguage.com) This will tell you exactly what your Fuel mileage is right now, Pulling a hill, keep your boost lower then normal but still pull the hill and the savings is huge! Sharpp on here has his thread and parts of that is all about that.

He was at 7.8mpg during the summer. Since its got cold is dropped. Mine went from 7.3 in the summer and is at 7.0 now.

Going to look that up. Thanks. Long as I'm averaging over 5 mpg I'll be Ok for my plans. If i do anything over 6.5/7 I'll be ecstatic. Far as my business plans I'm meaning.

& still great. Long as above 5 MPG I'll be ok on my business plan. Just trying to get my specs overall figured out. Still trying to figure overall GVW for both reefer&Tractor so i have idea if I can haul certain local shippers product to get me out of here when home.

If I have time this week I'll hook his up to one of our empty reefers and put it on our scales if that would help. It would atleast give you a good starting point.

Thats awsome. Trust me you wouldn't believe how VOLVO Dealerships have been treating me. I finally reached one 500 miles away and out of state that finally did something. Have no clue but their surely not trying to sell a truck. Given me attitude like I should know what i want and just order a 150K and not waste their time. Getting frustrating. And I know me when i do get one I'm going to drive it to local dealership, pull GM out and say see the sale you lost if front of as many customers as I can. LOL ...................... Prob not cause i hate wasting my time but have to admit great idea. LOL
