Hey all. Was hoping to get a lil insight to a wiper issue. Started yesterday. When I turn the ignition switch on, the wipers start, no matter if the switch is off (which it is). The delay quit working but when the switch is in the delay position the wipers will work as if the switch is in low. Once you turn the switch off the wipers continue for 4 cycles then stop wherever they feel like it. It's getting very annoying to have to start the wipers just to get them to lay down. Any suggestions? Is it a switch problem?

Edit: for anyone else looking to fix this issue here it is. After I posted this I remembered the 800# for Freightliner. Called them and was told that this is a known issue and it is the multi switch. It apparently isn't grounded correctly and causes this issue.

That problem is very common on many cars that use a multi-function stalk-type switch.
And the common solution is to toss the part. (nobody seems to fix anything in the digital age)

The problem *I* have with my Casscadia at 6'2" and riding "high in the saddle" is that "tip" end of the wipers never seem to clean the windshield. A two inch streak could be anywhere on the windshield, this just happens to be in my face.

I long for the old-school top-of-windshield mounted wipers and wonder if there are anyway to make a modern retrofit.

I havent had that problem yet. Just got my 2015 Cascadia Monday. No wiper issues but my FM radio likes to just cut off & back on. It does this occasionally. No rhyme or reason.. no specific time or amount of time between. It just cuts off for about 1 second or so, the "Welcome" will scroll across the screen & it starts playing again. It takes about 3 or 4 seconds for this process... Any ideas???

Anybody know where the fuse pannel is? On my '07 Columbia, it was on the right side dash... just above where the glove box would normally be.

I been reading about how & here to mount & hook up the CB. The compartment for the CB wont take my Galaxy. But, the primary concern is how do I get the coax out of the cab to the outside to the mounted antenna? The vent glass doesnt open on these trucks.so how & where do I run my coax from inside the passenger side to the outside passenger mirror?

Again, this is a 2015 Cascadia.

Stupidly, the fuse box is UNDER the glove box! Open the glove box, take a screwdriver, remove most of the interior glove box lining. There's the fuse panel. Be careful as it's really easy to break the lid when you pry it off.

There's also another box under the hood for other stuff that's much easier to access, so check "the book" for what fuse you actually need.

Radio sounds like a loose wire or short.

No idea about antenna mount. If I ever do get a CB I'd like to think I'd run a nice slick looking install running the wire through the floor through a factory grommet hole. Cascadia doors are drafty enough without running a cable though the weatherstripping.

Did freightliner disclose the grounding location to solve this issue?
