2015 Cascadia w/DD13. Truck lost air and wouldn’t build air. Turned key off and re started. Everything went back to normal. Aside from an unloader problem and total coincidence, is there any other known reason? Anything electrical? Also, where’s the compressor located? I see everything, ( alt, ac comp. Ps ) but not an air compressor.

Was trying to figure out if you have electric gauges or mechanical.
The jumpers get loose on the electric.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
You ever had the pleasure of putting one on a short hood?BoxCarKidd and Rideandrepair Thank this.

I had the unloader stick open and couldn’t build air past 100 psi and that was at 1400 rpm plus . It didn’t lose air though in my case.

Update. The Mechanic says there’s nothing wrong. I knew that would be his opinion. He ran a re gen. Top Driver checked it out, said it must have needed a re gen, and I probably didn’t know. Meanwhile the Dock Supervisor filed a complaint. Tonight the CEO warned me they’re watching my trip times. Unbelievable. Giving 110%, and getting treated like I’m a Slacker, and an Idiot by people who have minimal mechanical knowledge. Not one to work for unappreciative people. I’m out of here ASAP. No wonder they’ve been through over 30 drivers in 5 years. 2 are Lifers. The other 4 get replaced constantly. I smell a Rat. Actually a whole nest of Rats.

I will offer a very important bit advice based on my perspective.
take it a little bit seriously.
when you have an air problem or a problem that is causing the truck not to be safe, take your phone and make a good steady video of it.
always cover your ******!
I tell my drivers this so there is nothing coming back on them by some idiot parts changer who says there is no problem and reports it back to us in the office.
I have a new truck (less than 40k) that the driver would swear she would be driving down the road under a load and all of the sudden the screen would blank out and flash at her. She claimed this happened four times on one run, but it was all under a load. So she took it to the dealer, who held the truck up for a week and found nothing, the mechanic told her it was her imagination. When my asst manager paid the bill, the service manager said to her that the girl was imagining it. The driver called me, and I told her I believed her so I had a mount and a spare phone sent out to her and she mounted it to record the dash board. A could days later we pulled the videos down from the cloud. Sure as ******, under load, this thing would blank out and then started to blink, go through its start up diag and then return to normal but it was getting longer being blank and flashing more. It happened to her five times to her on one load. So my mechanic wason the phone with the regional service manager for this one, sent him the videos and he emailed my mechanic back and said ‘that ain’t supposed to happen’, in the mean time I had another truck sent to her and the truck taken to the dealer the RS said to send it. It is sitting there now, 8 weeks after it was dropped off and we are working with the lender to have the company take back the truck because Mack can not find the issue at all.Rideandrepair, BoxCarKidd and JB7 Thank this.
