Yeah Frito Lay wouldn't buy gliders. They're going to all new CNG powered trucks. Only reason they would is for the length laws in Cali to run 57's. But I don't really see that happening. I just wish new Argosy's were produced so we wouldn't even have to be talking about all of this. Keeping hope!

New ones are still built, just not for the U.S. market. The Cleveland,N.C. plant exports them to South Africa,Australia and New Zealand- all of which are RHD(right hand drive) markets. Ironically in Australia the Argosys they use there have emissions regulations to follow ( with DEF)as well.

Wal mart needs to put their super cube truck in production, which is made from an Argosy. Then freightliner will have no choice but to start making them for the US market.

Hard to understand what you just asked.... but I think you asked if they still make Argosy glider kits. Yes they do.

Those are for a niche market they are pulling 57' vans with rollers inside lots of aluminum cans and plastic bottles. That company bought out Dirksen which had the older argosy and peterbilt coe.
