When I bought the truck you see in the avatar new in March of 2000, the truck with most options available 500HP series 60/13 speed the out the door price was $93,000. For a couple of thousand more I could have had W900L's, 359's, etc.
One of the reasons the truck never sold well was because Freightliner priced it way to high. And because they didn't have the volume they decided not to update the chassis for the 2008 emissions and design a new cabover platform derived from the Cascadia.
