This is crazy I'm on the side of the road waiting for tow because my truck wouldn't turn off even with the key out.

It reaved up to 2000 rpms and smoked so bad somebody called the fire department and police. If finally shut off on it's own but, I thought it was gonna blow up.

    What could this be?

Turbo seal went most likely and it ate its own oil .. not looking good unless it was a freak electronic issue

Mine did that, but it was a Freightliner. Never figured out the cause. Had to use the battery kill switch to turn it off.

Could be stuck injector or turbo seal. Was it white? Don't let it run away if so you will be rebuilding engine

Push in the clutch, put it in 9th gear and ease out slowly...it'll stall. Sounds like an ecm gone nuts issue, Skynet taking over your machine...or 18 wheel version of "Christine"(old 80's movie about a possessed car for those of the younger generation)

Can't wait until hackers start playing with the ELD trucks that are tied to cellular or satellite data connections LMAO

Direct truck ECM access through the ELD
