Haven't seen a truck without kingpins yet. 99.9999% chance your truck has them.

Do They make balljoints for trucks?

Truck suspensions take alot of beating.

The type of brake doesn't indicate what kind of suspension. Trucks have always used a straight axle and king pins. Ball joints are better, but not as tough as a king pin. Why, what's up?

Tire where I'm trying to diagnose. I'm putting shocks on next week but the man at the TA swears its a King pin.
But the egr cooler has taught me that the first response may not be the right response.
The wear is cupping or scalloped tires but really deep.

Check the wheel bearings. Some tires, like Goodyear cup worse than others, but an old farmer friend told me, cupping is usually a bad wheel bearing. Shocks do little if anything, and I drove many with no front shocks at all. Worn kingpins will tend to make the truck wander, or free play in the wheel, but I never heard of them as a cupping thing. I'm sure you tried balancing, and a broken belt maybe. Doesn't take much.

If the tires aren't wearing right. You need to have the suspension checked out.

    Worn kingpins. Tie rods.
    Loose bearings.
    Spring bushings.
    Alignment.

My last company goes through steers like crazy. I guess it's cheaper to replace things then fix things so things last.

To have ball joints it would need independent front suspension. The only semi truck to ever have that was a GMC crackerbox( the only one I know of). It was an option that never really caught on and was pretty rare.
