2016 Intermodal

Well, company I work for just got setup with JB hunt... I see 3 JBHU boxes in our yard.. oh my goodness, their chassis are BEAUTIFUL.

ask the office where these three going ( just curious)... two are going to jeffersonville, IN and one is going to Cincinnati,oh .. all three drop and hook.. open window 6am to 2pm... that's awesome..

the way i see my company is going.. they were strictly 20/40 but now are adding 53ft in the mix so they are never slow.. and i see this working so far... what do you think @RERM

oh and they just told me they just sealed the deal on nine 2010-2011 volvo daycabs with isx engines.. 350k miles to 450k miles on it.. should be coming in the next two weeks. nice!!

 

I was at a kiswani o/o house today. He was tellin me company drivers r hourly paid day cabs to bring load to yard from rails. Hourly pay gonna be so awsome

 

i dont think they're hourly paid, i just know one guy that drivers a day cab.. he's been with them since 2004... he's the only one on hourly pay, the rest are on percentage and they do the same exact work as guys who work on sleeprs do

 

I hear its gonna be all hourly to adapt to eobrs. So company brings container o/o delivers. If thats very good

 

How's it going for everyone?

Man, sure does hope it picks up... avg $2,000 to $2,500 checks so far in this slow period.. thankful but ####, what the hell is going on!? Intermodal SURE has ####ing took a down right spiral..... YIKES!!!

 

agreed.

intermodal has fallen so low and due to these diesal prices.. alot of steam shiplines and brokers are taking advantage of it...

smart ####ers.... they see diesel prices tank so they shop around lanes and they find someone to undercut good rates by like $200 forcing companies to match it!!! ########!!!!!!!!!!!

i cant even seriously imagine how SMALL COMPANIES ARE RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PROBABLY PENNIES JUST TO GET BY...

 

LOL... my friends at other intermodal companies are so depressed. they all cleared $1,300 to $1,700 and they're ready to just shut their trucks down or sell it and become a company driver. ITS THAT ####ING BAD!!
