2016 Intermodal

R u kidding? Jb hunt is sitting? Man thats so weird. My cousin is regional with them and he running real good. This jb thing might be a bad idea. I dont get how a o/o at jb will accept to sit yet they not hiring. At least kiswani takes care of you

 

JB Hunt regional... $1.20 a mile... thanks but no thanks. as thankful as i can be, i just cant run my truck at $1.20 mile. I will sit and that is why I am not at JB HUNT. I will make pennies if I ever run JB HUNT regional. That is why many guys try to do JB hunt Local because regional aint worth it..

 

Ya its low. Maybe thats why its always open. But i mean i hear you can still take home 1800-2500$ week. I hope. Id hate to join jb hunt just to quit a month in to go to kiswani. Not bcz i dont like kiswani. I hate quitting

 

Intermodal for me has been down 30% this past year and is currently down 30% more. It's cheaper to ship products near the coast then it cost to send it by train. I may be done this month as an O.O.


Fuel is 1.7 a gallon for me and people expect us to move stuff 160 miles for $100 after fuel, that equals about $30 after taxes, ect. I'd make more working a warehouse job for $15 HR.

 

Some steamship rates are cheaper than JBH right now. That's how low this has become, I'm getting out before it gets worse. The fuel gets low for 2 months and they can't wait to kill the rates. But when fuel is high they take 6-7 months to raise rates.

 

It must be really slow in the southern ports. I've spoken to 3 companies about signing on and they said they have hiring on hold for now.

 

In Cleveland Ohio is slow i dknow about other places. Sorry
