Started with a new company mid December and they gave my 16 t680. Only have two issues with it. Every time I stop the truck and get her rolling again the fuel average indicator bugs out and I have to reset the one of the trip meters to see what I am getting. Never had this issue with any other I have been in, so this a quirk of the truck?? Second issue I lost while typing the first lol.

When you are sitting still and over come the inertia with starting a heavy loaded truck, your fuel average is immaterial.

    EDITED TO REMOVE ERRONEOUS INFORMATION

Once you are moving you don't need as much fuel to keep it moving depending on where you are and what the winds are doing to you etc.

That explains a lot. When he said he used to go down the hill near buckhorn, pa at 150, he meant 051!

Would you like me to edit out the erroneous parts of your post? You don't seem to be bothered by the fact that some rookie might try your method.

The bad info is still in the quotes of the replies.

I have the answer to your problem and I will give it when I get stopped in an hour or so.

I have been thinking about that the past two hours on errands across the county, the proper method would have been at 1350 and working up by 50's RPM in each gear. I think that would have been better for the truck. I find no reason why there is a problem after I admitted that there might be a flaw in the original writing.

Part of the problem with me is I have to hit the books and research some of these things before writing because memory is not what it is. When others make a input and correct me I don't have a problem. I welcome it.

I hope everyone has a good day.
