2016 Volvo VNL 780 EGT sensor problem?

    I got engine ECU fault and the code P242B64 which seems to be exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor problem?
    Does somebody knows is it only the sensor failure or something else?

    What`s went wrong if my truck is brand new? It also shows me that exhaust temperature is normal (it is about 800 degree)

    Time to exercise that new vehicle warranty.
    Probably just a bad sensor.

    Gah brand new trucks almost as bad as 1.1m mile trucks..

    give me the used truck with 200k on it, please an thanks.


    Almost surely a sensor issue driver.

    Have an amber check engine light and the occassional message to "check the fuel filter" When that message first popped up I replaced both fuel filters. Did not seem to make any difference. The truck is running fine and getting excellent fuel mileage. Wondering if anybody has seen this issue. 2016 780 VNL d13 motor.
